Basic Clothing Repair & Alterations
We will cover using the machine to adjust the hem of pants or sleeves, add darts, and hand sew buttons. Repairing ripped seams will be addressed.
If possible, please bring:
*clothing in need of repair: buttons sewn back on, seams repaired, hems taken up or re-sewn
*sewing machine OR hand needles, thread & bobbins, scissors (Class time will be used for machine sewing when possible).
*recommended: notebook and pen/pencil
Some supplies available for purchase at class: buttons and basic sewing notions kit.
This class addresses the repairs and alterations required by the students in that class. Therefore, it is different each session.
