Junk Journal Introduction
Have any junk mail, kid's old homework, or scrap paper? Hate waste? Want to try something fun and easy?
Junk Journals can be made from anything! As we shift to a 'use what you have' mindset due to various shortages, now is a great time to learn to make your own journals. Upcycle almost any paper into a custom journal!
Students are encouraged to bring papers, fabric, lace or any other textile to upcycle into a journal. However, all supplies needed will be available at class.
Students will leave with a completed journal using upcycled paper, scrapbook paper, colored paper, magazines, maps, etc. There will also be brown or white bags to create pockets, or students can use the paper of their choice to create custom pockets. Students will also have the opportunity to decorate their journal with stamps and ink, pre-made punch outs or die cuts, lace, ribbon, yarn, fabric, markers, or washi tapes.
